What a beautiful recipe—and such a lovely story to go with it! I can just picture you running in with dirty hands to grab the hand pies while your mom gave you that look That's exactly how childhood memories should be made. I love that you shared the braiding technique too, it really does give it that authentic Ukrainian look. I've been wanting to try making a yeasted savory pie and this might be the perfect excuse. The herb combination sounds so fresh and summery. Also, thank you for the tip about storing herbs with the plastic bag in the fridge—I always struggle with them wilting too fast. Can't wait to try this one!

Ukrainian savory egg and herb pie
How thick should dough be rolled out/ what size rectangle to roll? Trying to guess from size of knife in picture but 5 eggs doesn’t seem much filling. Small bunches of herbs - is this 5-6 scallions as they come from the store and about half of the grocery store size parsley as they are quite large. Weights or cup sizes would be great..
